Where it is going and roughly what it is for. A photograph of the space is more useful than a reference picture of someone else's flowers.
You pick a palette and a size, not a stem list. What is beautiful that week goes in, which is why nothing here is photographed and priced to the stem.
Hand-delivered below 14th Street, couriered above it, with a card and instructions for keeping it alive past the weekend.
The studio
Botanica is a two-person studio on Clarkson Street. We buy at the market four mornings a week and grow the rest on a leased half-acre upstate — which is why the list is short in February and unreasonable in June.
We do not carry imported stems out of season, and we would rather talk you into something at its peak than sell you a photograph of a peony in November.
