What I can build for you.

Four things, and they overlap more than they don't. Most projects are one of the first three plus the fourth. If you are not sure which one you need, say what you are trying to do and I will tell you.

01

Web Design

A site designed around your content and what it needs to do, not dropped into a template. We start from what a visitor is trying to find and work outwards, which usually means fewer pages than you expected and clearer ones. Responsive from the start, so it reads the same on a phone as on a laptop — not a desktop layout squeezed down afterwards.

  • Structure and page plan before any visual work
  • Layout, type and colour designed for your business, not picked from a theme
  • Built by hand — fast, accessible, and no page-builder to fight later
  • Tested at phone, tablet and desktop widths before launch

02

Brand Identity

Logo, colour and type worked out together, so they hold up across the whole site and everything else you put your name on. This is the part most businesses skip and then pay for twice — a logo made in isolation tends not to survive contact with a real page, a shopfront, or an invoice.

  • Wordmark or logo, in the formats you will actually be asked for
  • A colour set with the contrast already checked, so it is usable as well as nice
  • Type choices with licences that permit commercial use
  • A short guide: what goes where, and what not to do to it

03

Portfolio Sites

Focused sites for showing work: photographers, designers, makers, studios. The design problem here is different from a business site — the work has to be the loudest thing on the page, and adding a new project later has to take minutes rather than a rebuild. So the layout is built to accept whatever you make next.

  • Layouts that hold up whether a project is one image or thirty
  • Image handling that stays fast — modern formats, sized properly, lazy-loaded
  • Adding a project is copying one block and changing the contents
  • Case-study pages if the thinking matters as much as the picture

04

Site Care & SEO

Ongoing updates, fixes, and the search-visibility basics: titles, descriptions, structure, speed. Month to month, no lock-in, and you can stop whenever the site stops needing it. This is deliberately unglamorous — it is the difference between a site that was good on launch day and one that is still good two years later.

  • Content and image updates as you need them
  • Titles, descriptions and page structure kept sensible for search
  • Speed and broken-link checks, and the fixes that follow
  • A note each month on what changed — no invisible work

How a project runs

Two to four weeks for a typical site. You see the design before anything gets built, and nothing moves forward without your sign-off.

  • Week 1 — Discover. A short call about your business, your audience, and what the site needs to do.
  • Week 1–2 — Design. Layout and visual direction, shared for feedback before anything is built.
  • Week 2–3 — Build. The site gets built, tested and refined with you along the way.
  • Week 4 — Launch. It goes live, with handoff notes and optional ongoing care.

You work with me directly the whole way through — there is no account manager and no handoff between teams.

Not sure which one you need?

Describe what you are trying to do in a couple of sentences. If it is not something I should be doing, I will say so and point you somewhere better.
